Mixed Use Development

Mixed use development reduces the cost of housing for citizens in a variety of housing situations by increasing the number of units and driving down prices. Simultaneously, mixed use spaces invite more foot traffic to support small businesses, inspire a more walkable, environmentally-conscious community, and foster new relationships among neighbors. 

Empowering Neighborhoods

Madison's neighborhoods are one of its best qualities, and in District 19, they are a model of Midwestern culture. To best serve our city's homeless population through "Housing First," the DPCED should consider working with neighborhood associations, developers, and city staff to create a sense of community and buy-in for all.
